Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  3. Add the amaretto liqueur and mix well.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours, until firm.
  5. Once set, scoop out small amounts and roll them into balls.
  6. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts.
  7. Chill again before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try replacing amaretto with another liqueur.
  • These truffles can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
