  • 1 pound sushi rice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound fresh salmon, skinless
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear; drain.
  3. In a pot, combine the rice and water, then bring to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the salmon in a skillet over medium heat until it flakes easily with a fork.
  7. In a bowl, mix the cooked salmon with mayonnaise, Sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  8. Fluff the rice with a fork and spread it in a baking dish.
  9. Top the rice with the salmon mixture and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through.

Notes

  • This dish can be served warm or cold.
  • Adjust Sriracha to taste for desired spiciness.
