  • 1 ½ cups pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and flour until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, sea salt, and baking powder.
  6. Add the chopped pecans to the mixture and stir well.
  7. Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set and slightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.

  • For added flavor, sprinkle a little extra sea salt on top before serving.
