  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  6. In a large baking dish, layer half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the meat sauce, then half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat the layers.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Remove from oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
