A delicious low carb version of a classic Philly cheesesteak casserole featuring turkey bacon for extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef, then add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until tender.
  4. Add cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded provolone cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Crumble the turkey bacon on top before serving.
