A delicious twist on a classic cheesesteak with Korean flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 cup kimchi, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add flank steak and cook until browned.
  4. Add onions, mushrooms, garlic, and ginger, and stir until vegetables are soft.
  5. Stir in kimchi, soy sauce, and sesame oil, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Fill each hoagie roll with the bulgogi mixture and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Broil for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Top with crispy turkey bacon and serve.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the level of kimchi for desired spiciness.
  • Serve with pickled vegetables for an extra kick.
