A delicious and easy French onion pasta recipe featuring turkey bacon and a creamy, cheesy sauce.

  • 8 ounces pasta of choice
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the turkey bacon. Cook until crispy.
  3. Add the sliced onions and garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onions are caramelized.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and half of the cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  7. Top with the remaining cheese and let it melt before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe can easily be made vegetarian by omitting the turkey bacon and using vegetable broth.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables such as mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
